Frequently Asked Questions

Whispering Maple - Pigeon Forge, TN

Q: Where is the cabin located?
A: From Stoplight #3, the cabin is just 5 miles west of the Parkway. It is in the private gated community of Shag Bark. View a map of the location.

Q: What about keys, check-in and check-out?
A: The main cabin door is equipped with a power deadbolt lock, which guests are given a combination code to.  Just in case, emergency keys are also available in a lock box by the door. Check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out time is 10:00 AM.

Q: Is the house easy to get to?
A: Yes. The Shag Bark neighborhood is located just off of Waldens Creek Rd, about 3 miles from Wears Valley Road (US 321). There are paved roads all the way from the entrance to the house.

Q: Is there a view of the mountains?
A: Yes. The home has a very nice view of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park from both decks as well as the hot tub.

Q: What is provided and what do we need to bring?
A: Linens, including towels, are provided. We have extra pillows and blankets as well. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and tableware (service for 12+) to minimize the need to clean dishes between each meal. There is a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags.

Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Yes. To many people, including us, pets are just part of the family. We generally limit the number of pets at two, and there is an extra charge. In the warm months, you will want to protect them with a flea & tick treatment (like Frontline, etc.).
